About Gizelle Hamilton

Gizelle Hamilton, founder of Sacred Horse, is an Equine Naturopath dedicated to maintaining horse health and healing illness through natural, traditional methods that bolster wellbeing rather than mask problems.

Recognising the innate ability of the body to heal itself, Gizelle’s methods empower horse owners to take small steps to improve the overall health and wellbeing of their horses, regardless of their circumstances.  Gizelle’s focus on client education allows horse owners to become part of the solution, enabling them to maintain the health of their horses and learn to prevent illness before it occurs.

Committed to excellence, Gizelle is a full professional member of the Small Animal and Equine Naturopathic Association and the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors.

About Sacred Horse

Equine Naturopathy provides a holistic approach to manage your horse’s health and wellbeing, recognising that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself. At Sacred Horse, we employ the healing power of herbal medicine and the gentle therapeutic techniques of massage to treat the whole horse, not just mask symptoms.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is a traditional form of medicine used in the prevention, maintenance and cure of illness, disease and injury for the past 60,000 years. It recognises the ability of nature to heal the body through the use of plant medicines, without the need to administer synthetic pharmaceutical drugs. Herbal medicine is a highly effective, natural and affordable form of medicine with few to no side effects.

Equine Myofunctional Therapy

Equine Myofunctional Therapy (EMT) is a form of physical rehabilitation therapy that employs massage, passive stretching techniques and targeted exercises to maintain musculotendinous health in the horse.  Horses who receive regular EMT are more supple, gymnastic and comfortable in their work and downtime.  Unlike machine-based therapies, EMT is better at targeting and resolving musculotendinous issues, as the practitioner is trained to feel, identify and resolve issues with their hands, using a variety of massage and stretching techniques.
